We’re excited to announce a major improvement project aimed at enhancing your experience at the park! From August 13 to August 22 (weather permitting), paving work will be underway to upgrade key areas of the parking lot and surrounding paths.
🛑 What to Expect During Construction
To ensure safety and efficiency, please note the following temporary closures and detours:
-
Boat Launch & Adjacent Parking: These areas (marked in red on the updated map) will be closed during the paving period.
-
Pedestrian Access: There will be no foot traffic or driving allowed through the construction zone. Visitors heading to the Blue Bird Cross-Country Trail or the spillway should walk behind the maintenance structure to reach their destination safely.
🌟 Why This Project Matters?
This project is more than just fresh pavement—it’s a step toward a safer, more accessible park for everyone. Once completed, visitors will enjoy:
-
Smoother surfaces for vehicles and pedestrians
-
Improved drainage and reduced erosion
-
Enhanced accessibility for individuals with mobility needs
We encourage all visitors to plan ahead, follow posted signage, and stay clear of work zones. Your patience and cooperation help us create a better, more welcoming space for all.
Thank you for being part of this exciting upgrade!
