Wellness Walk Wednesdays Kick Off in May for Mental Health Awareness Month!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we’re stepping into it, literally, with a community‑wide focus on movement, connection, and the healing power of the outdoors. Fauquier County Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Mental Health Association of Fauquier to launch Wellness Walk Wednesdays, a weekly wellness walk series designed to boost endorphins, encourage mindfulness, and bring neighbors together in support of better mental health.

Beginning next week, community members are invited to join us every Wednesday at 11 AM for a refreshing mid‑day walk. These guided walks offer a simple but meaningful way to clear your mind, enjoy nature, and take a positive step toward a healthier May. 🌿

We’ll meet at the Warrenton Branch Greenway LOVE sign on May 6, 13, and 20, followed by a special final walk at C.M. Crockett Park on May 27, gathering at the Commemorative Garden. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, get moving, or simply enjoy good company, Wellness Wednesdays are a welcoming space for all.

Mental health matters, let’s walk together, breathe deeply, and support one another as a community!
