Lee Magisterial District

Daron Lee Culbertson is a Fauquier County native. He graduated from Liberty High School where he developed a keen interest in athletics and music.  He went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in sports management.

Mr. Culbertson is a fifth-generation farmer and a small business owner in Remington, Virginia.  In addition to managing the family-run beef cattle business, he is the proprietor of Rural Restoration LLC, a company that provides agricultural fence installation and farm consulting services.  

Mr. Culbertson was elected to represent the Lee Magisterial District on the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors for a four-year term beginning in 2024.  In his campaign, Mr. Culbertson emphasized preserving Fauquier County’s rural integrity by prioritizing agricultural land and open space through minimal development. He also supports expanding opportunities for youth sports and recreational activities in the county.

In 2016, Mr. Culbertson was appointed by the Board of Supervisors to sit on the Fauquier County Purchase of Development Rights Advisory Committee, where he has served for the past eight years.  In 2025, Mr. Culbertson was also appointed to the Agricultural Development Advisory Committee.

Mr. Culbertson actively supports voluntary programs to protect the farmland and natural resource assets of rural properties.  In 2015 he was awarded the John Marshall Soil & Water Conservation District, TMDL Conservation Farm Award. In 2017 he received Virginia Grand Basin Clean Water Farm Award for the Rappahannock River drainage basin from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation. 

Mr. Culbertson and his wife, Danielle, and their children live on the family farm in Remington.  They attend Grace Bible Church in Marshall.
