Purpose

The Executive Committee provides advice and counsel to the System Fire Rescue Chief with regard to policies, procedures, strategic planning, finances, audits, training requirements, and FCFRS-wide discipline of all members and any other duties as assigned.

The committee serves as the highest-level legislative body making body for the FCFRS and its responsible for system-wide proposed guidelines for recommendations to the System Chief.  It provides direction and input from other committees and sub-committees, ad hoc committees, the Volunteer Fire Rescue Association, and others as needed.

The Executive Committee was established by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors pursuant to the Code of Virginia.

Term

Members are appointed and/or elected for a one-year term.
