Purpose
The Fire Operations Committee provides advice, counsel, and recommendations to the Executive Committee and/or the System Fire Rescue Chief on Fire Rescue System matters pertaining to fire prevention, suppression, fire-related rescue, as well as objectives of the volunteer companies, and among anything else that the Executive Committee and System's Chief deem appropriate.
Authority
The Fire Operations Committee was established by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors pursuant to the Code of Virginia.
Term
Members are appointed for a two-year term.
Meetings
The Fire Operations Committee meets every first Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Warren Green Building (10 Hotel Street, Warrenton, VA 20186), in the second floor conference room.
