Purpose

The three member Electoral Board and the General Registrar have the mission of maintaining an accurate list of registered voters and administering elections in a fair, efficient and equitable manner.

Authority

The Electoral Board is established pursuant to Title 24.2, Chapter 1, Article 3 of the Code of Virginia.

Term

Members of the Electoral Board are appointed by the Circuit Court to serve staggered three year terms, ending on December 31.
