Purpose
The three member Electoral Board and the General Registrar have the mission of maintaining an accurate list of registered voters and administering elections in a fair, efficient and equitable manner.
Authority
The Electoral Board is established pursuant to the Constitution of Virginia, Article II, Section 8, and the Code of Virginia, Title 24.2, Chapter 1, Article 3.
Term
Members of the Electoral Board are appointed by the Circuit Court to serve staggered three year terms, ending on December 31.
