The purpose of this payment agreement is to provide the taxpayer an arrangement to remit monthly installments of equal amounts to pay off delinquent taxes. By signing this agreement you understand the obligation to make the minimum monthly payment by the 15th of each month (see below for instructions to determine amount), and to notify the Treasurer’s Office in writing if you are unable to make the payment on time. Furthermore, you understand that this agreement does not preclude or void a debt set-off claim on your state income tax refund. Failure to pay the minimum monthly payment on the due date or deliver a written notice to this office in advance of the due date constitutes a default of payment and will result in LEGAL ACTION WITHOUT FURTHER NOTIFICATION. By signing this agreement, you agree to waive the defense of the statute of limitations against the County of Fauquier.
