What do I do when I receive a subpoena?

Please call our office for further instructions: (540) 422-8120. Have the document with you when you call as you will be asked for the case details as printed on the subpoena.

 

Do I have to come to court?

A subpoena or a summons is an order to come to court on a certain day at a certain time. If you have not been excused from your court appearance by the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, a failure to appear can result in criminal charges.
