Homicide Survivor Support Group to Begin
Homicide Survivor Support Groups bring friends and family of homicide victims together to provide healing and resources.
Locally, one of these adult support groups will begin on March 7, 2021 and run bi-weekly on-line using Zoom, from 7pm-9pm. The group is free and open to adults 18 and over who have lost a family member or close friend to homicide, including vehicular homicides. Suicide and opioid survivors will be referred to the closest group which specializes in these types of grief.
For more information about our local homicide support group, sponsored by The Fauquier County Victim/Witness Program in the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, please contact Dina Blythe of the Virginia Victim Assistance Network (VVAN) at 757-617-9814 or dina.blythe@vanetwork.org.
