An approved Preliminary Plat may be revised to either amend the Approval Conditions associated with the plan, or to make minor or major changes to the plan itself. An Amendment to an approved Preliminary Plat must be submitted to Community Development for approval by the Board of Supervisors following recommendation by the Planning Commission. 

Preliminary Plat Amendment Review and Approval Process

A.   First Submission Minimum Requirements: 

  • Land Development Application with original signatures of the Owner and Applicant
  • Fee Calculation Sheet – Preliminary Plats
  • Application Fee
  • Statement detailing changes and reasoning
  • Copy of original Approval Conditions and proposed amended Conditions
  • Number of plan copies as specified by the County case manager
  • Flash Drive containing PDF copies of all submission requirements

The applicant must contact the County case manager to determine the number of plan copies required and/or any additional information or documentation that will be necessary for review and approval of the Amendment.

B. Second Submission Requirements:

  • No submission fee due with the Second Submission
  • Plan copies, documentation or information as specified by the provided review comments and/or the County case manager.
  • Flash Drive containing individual PDF copies of all resubmission materials and documentation.

C. Third and Subsequent Submissions:

  • $400 Flat Fee due at the time of resubmission.
  • Plan copies, documentation or information as specified by the provided review comments and/or the County case manager.
  • Flash Drive containing individual PDF copies of all resubmission materials and documentation.

D. Signature Set Submission:

  • Plan copies, documentation or information as specified by the County case manager.
