The County Attorney's Office provides legal representation and advice to the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, and all other boards, commissions, departments, Constitutional officers and employees regarding legal issues relative to conducting County business.

The County Attorney's Office supervises the legal affairs of the County, represents the County in legal matters, brings lawsuits necessary to be instituted by the County, defends the County in court proceedings brought against it, and handles appellate litigation to which the County is a party.
