These materials are ACCEPTABLE in the used antifreeze tank:

  • Ethylene glycol based antifreeze
  • Glycol based coolant from chillers/HVAC systems
  • Propylene glycol based antifreeze
  • Ethylene glycol based de-icer's/antifreeze

These materials are NOT ACCEPTED in the used antifreeze tank:

Brake cleaner

Brake fluid

Carburetor cleaner

Chlorinated solvents

Engine cleaner

Fiberglass resin

Flammable liquids

Freon

Gasoline

Hazardous waste

Ice melters

Metal working fluids

Naphtha

"Non-toxic" antifreeze

Paint/paint thinner

Parts cleaning solvent

Radiator flush water

Refrigerator oil

Transformer oil

Used oil

Why Recycle?

Similar to motor oil, antifreeze never wears out, it just gets dirty. When filtered it can be reused.
