 How to Prepare for Recycling: 

• For appliances containing refrigerant*, such as a refrigerator, a freezer, a dehumidifier, or an air conditioner, please attendant for placement. Items containing refrigerant have processing fees
• Please remove food.
• Appliances such as stoves may be placed directly in the scrap metal pile.
• Please recycle small appliances such as microwaves, toasters, blenders, etc. with electronics. Fees may apply

Why Recycle?

*Refrigerant (Freon) is a compound that impacts the ozone layer of the atmosphere. Each Freon containing item placed in the waste stream is checked and any remaining Freon is recycled. Afterwards, the appliance can be recycled as scrap metal.
