How to Prepare for Recycling

Dry and clean books only.

Separated by type -hardcover and paperback go through different recycling processes.

Remove all plastic or shrink wrap before recycling. 

Hardcover books are collected in the Textile Sheds at remote sites. (See Site Attendant at Corral Farm Facility)

Softcover books may be placed in the Mixed Paper container.

Why Recycle?

Recycling books saves natural resources and reduces landfill waste. A ton of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 4,000 kilowatts of energy and 7,000 gallons of water.
