Open Enrollment is a once-a-year opportunity to make medical and dental insurance election changes such as:

  • Change plans
  • Add or drop coverage for yourself
  • Add or drop coverage for your dependents 

ALL employees must make an Open Enrollment election. Even if you are not making any changes, you still need to log in and make elections or "decline benefit".

Changes can be made by logging into your ePortal account and will take effect July 1, 2026, with premium changes taking effect in your June paychecks.

You will not receive new medical or dental ID cards unless you make a plan change. For example, going from employee only coverage to family coverage or high option dental to standard option dental.

Open Enrollment Dates: April 15 - May 1, 2026

Steps to login:

  • Step 1: Visit eportal.fauquiercounty.gov
  • Step 2: Login with your employee credentials
  • Step 3: Select "Benefits" on the right-hand column of your screen
  • Step 4: Click the "Open Enrollment" link at the top of your screen 
  • Step 5: Make your elections and then click "Continue"
  • Step 6: Press "Submit" once you have completed the Open Enrollment process.

How to Search for Participating Providers on Anthem's Website
  1. Go to Anthem Find Care.
  2. Select Basic Search as a Guest.
  3. Choose the type of plan or network: Medical Plan or Network.
  4. Select Virginia as the state where your plan is offered.
  5. Choose how you get health insurance: Medical (Employer-Sponsored).
  6. Select a Plan or Network:
      • HDHP with HSA - Anthem Healthkeepers OAPOS
      • Healthkeepers – Anthem Healthkeepers OAPOS
      • Keycare – Keycare PPO
  7. After selecting the appropriate plan, you can search by entering the name of your doctor, procedure, or service.

Additionally, it’s recommended that you call the physician or healthcare provider to confirm they participate in the Healthkeepers OAPOS or Keycare network.

***If you’re looking for out-of-state care, follow steps 1–7 as outlined above. When asked to select your plan’s state, choose Virginia. At step 6, select the National PPO (BlueCard PPO) network, then on the next page update the location to where you’re seeking care.
