Fauquier County Information Technology Department
In recognition of exemplary and innovative services in transitioning Fauquier County employees from a non-telework workforce to a remote workforce in a matter of days. This included quickly procuring new technologies, infrastructure setup and training to employees on how to use remote tools. IT quickly worked with ISP and equipment vendors to procure and expand Internet bandwidth to accommodate remote connectivity, and procured and expanded Wi-Fi capabilities to service citizens. IT continues to support staff remotely and assist additional staff transitioning to telework. To accommodate social distancing, IT moved the Board of Supervisors meetings to a complete different location; staged and setup in manner to provide citizens multiple ways to interact during meetings and public hearings, all while continuing livestream and cable channel offerings. These projects were accomplished by a strong team with one mission being the continuity of operations for the County. In times like these, it does take a team to rise together to help implement quick and positive change.

Fauquier County Buildings and Grounds Team
In recognition of exemplary and innovative services for developing and promptly implementing new cleaning protocols and procedures including the appropriate use of CDC recommended products. This includes guidance on appropriate cleaning protocols and increased cleaning services for department environments in order to keep facilities sanitary and co-workers safe. These projects were accomplished by a strong team with a mission of the continuity of operations for the County.

Fauquier County DFREM Courier Team
In recognition of exemplary and innovative services for continued delivery of communications throughout the County offices. Allowing for continuous work flow to departments. The Courier team continues to provide delivery services to various departments for COVID-19 related supplies. Support for our employees and providing these essential services to our County departments is what makes a Superstar.

Fauquier County Environmental Services
In recognition of exemplary and innovative services that enables our local government’s continued operation during the pandemic. Examples of how each member of this team has contributed to supporting and upholding the organization include increased community interaction while implementing several policy and procedural changes making the convenience sites and Corral Farm safer for both public and staff. The support of our community in providing these essential services by a strong team with a mission of the continuity of operations for the County is invaluable.

Fauquier County Department of Social Services
In recognition of exemplary and innovative services for working tirelessly to continue to provide crucial services to County citizens during this unprecedented time. Examples of the hard wok and dedication of the employees of the Department of Social Services include adopting new way of working with clients and creating important protocols for home visits in order to continue to provide much needed resources, and leading the way in developing flexible and telework schedules which resulted in being the first County department to convert to an 80% telework schedule. These services were accomplished by your efforts, concern and dedication as a strong team with a mission to serve our community.

Fauquier County Library
In recognition of exemplary and innovative and/or increased services that enables our local government's continue operation during the pandemic. The Library developed and implemented innovative procedures and policies which have continued the ability of citizens to access resources even while the Library was closed. Staff developed programs such as curb-side service for checkout and return of Library materials, crafts on the go kits, and converted many programs such as story time, book clubs and the summer reading program to on-line opportunities. Your efforts have provided knowledge, entertainment and support to County citizens contributing to a sense of normalcy and well-being. These projects were accomplished by a strong team with one mission being the continuity of operations for the County.

Fauquier County GIS Team
In recognition of exemplary and innovative and/or increased services that enables our local government’s continued operation during the pandemic. The GIS Department developed innovated solutions to assist with a COVID-19 HUB. The HUB has helped citizens find services, telework, and shop locally during this time. The HUB is also helping small businesses find resources for loan and other support services. In times likes these, it takes a strong team with one mission being the continuity of operations for the County.

Fauquier County DFREM Logistics Team: Deputy Chief Kurt Kight and Heather Kid
In recognition of exemplary and innovative and/or increased services that enables our local government’s continued operation during the pandemic. The DFREM Logistics Team have been instrumental in providing essential services to the County workforce under extremely challenging conditions during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The team purchases essential products for cleaning and disinfecting the County environments and secure the delivery of personal protective equipment to various departments which is not an easy task with supply levels being low. In times likes these, it takes a strong team with one mission being the continuity of operations for the County.

In recognition of exemplary and innovative and/or increases services that enables our local government's continued operation during the pandemic. The County's COVID-19 Protocol Guidance video, has made an impact by serving as a visual reminder of the importance of screening protocols, social distancing and cleaning procedures that keep our employees and citizens safe during this pandemic. This assignment was accomplished by a strong team with one mission being the safety and security of the County. In recognition of exemplary and innovative services for working tirelessly to provide crucial services to County and Public School employees during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The services that the team of the Marathon Employee Wellness provide to assist us with trace contacting, testing, quarantine guidance, and education to our population on the disease has been invaluable.

In recognition of exemplary and innovative performance that enables our local government’s continued operation during the pandemic. This group of employees from our Department of Social Services and Economic Development created community pop-ups to support our citizens in need as well as our businesses. This service is one of the many examples of how our employees rally around those in our community who are in need, but also work across departmental lines to show innovation and partnerships to provide necessary services to our citizens.

Fauquier County Service Awards Video Team

In recognition of exemplary and innovative performance that enables our local government’s to deliver exemplary, innovative and/or increased services despite difficult circumstances. This group of employees from our Information Technology and Human Resources departments created a video of the Board of Supervisors for the 2021 Fauquier County Employee Service Awards. The videos created a personal touch for the presentation of the event.
This is an example of how our employees can pull together to make the challenge of social distancing during this pandemic into a proud moment for our Board of Supervisors and employees alike.
