**COVID-19 Patient Update** 

For the safety of the public, effective immediately no walk-in appointments will be accepted.  Please call 540-905-7456 to schedule an appointment prior to your visit. 

If you are having significant difficulty breathing or emergent symptoms, call 911.

If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and have symptoms such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing, please call your health center or primary care provider. If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 but have no symptoms, please call your local health department.

Currently, Marathon Health is not performing COVID-19 testing but instead coordinating through the local health departments who have access to necessary protective gear and facility/equipment considerations.

Marathon Health follows the policies and guidelines of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and will make changes to recommendations based on CDC updates for your best care.

The Fauquier County Employee Wellness Center, powered by Marathon Health is open and available for all permanent employees and starting August 1, 2019 spouses and dependents (6 years and older) on the Fauquier employee health plan are also eligible for services. The wellness center is a great resource for employees and their families to visit with licensed staff to diagnose, treat and prescribe for a wide variety of common illnesses and injuries. In addition to sick care, we are excited to offer a full range of health assessment and coaching services for FREE (Lumenos participants pay a $20 co-pay).

Meet the Staff 

Dr. Levi Rizk | DO

Dr. Rizk is excited to join Fauquier County Employee Wellness Center. He currently cares for patients while serving as medical director for three rural health clinics. Previously, he worked at the VA. Dr. Rizk received his bachelor’s of science from the University of California at San Diego and graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro University Nevada. Dr. Rizk is focused on preventive medicine and enjoys connecting with patients to work toward good health. When he isn’t working, Dr. Rizk enjoys time with his family, including his two young daughters. He is an ultra-marathoner and has run many running events, including a solo run across the U.S. in 2016!

Betheny Schumacher | Family Nurse Practitioner 

Betheny Schumacher is a family nurse practitioner and works full-time at the Fauquier CountyEmployee Wellness Center helping patients meet their health goals and caring for them when they aresick. Betheny received her Family Nurse Practitioner Post Master Certificate from Marymount University,her Master of Nursing Education from Waynesburg University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including most recentlyin an urgent and primary care practice. Betheny is excited to join Marathon Health and work with theCounty Government and School District employees. You may find Betheny outside hiking with her threedogs or volunteering at local organizations.


Janice MacDaniel | Medical Assistant

After starting as a receptionist at a busy Internal Medicine practice in Charleston, S.C., Janice quickly realized she wanted to do more. She got her Phlebotomy Certificate from Trident Technical and began
working at Fauquier Hospital. She went on to earn her associates degree at Northern Virginia Community College and started a new role at an urgent care facility in Northern Virginia. Janice is now working toward her BIS in Healthcare Management from the University of Virginia. At Marathon Health, she is excited to spend time with her patients. Janice is a lifelong equestrian and has worked with horses since she was six years old. With her children, Janice volunteers for Rainbow Therapeutic
Riding, Fancy Cats Rescue, and the Special Olympics. Her son is also a Special Olympics athlete!
