The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office will provide a local background check (Fauquier County only), also known as a Letter of Good Standing, as long as you do not have any negative involvement with the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office.  Please come to the Sheriff's Office, between the hours of 8am and 4pm,  be sure to bring a valid government issued photo ID along with the completed Letter of Good Standing.
