Once the Fauquier County Circuit Court authorizes a property to be sold, it appoints a Special Commissioner of Sale. The Special Commissioner is responsible for advertising the time, place, and terms of the sale; answering all inquiries regarding the sale; receiving offers of purchase and submitting the highest offer, public or private, to the Court for acceptance or rejection; and reporting to the Court about the sale. If you have questions, concerns, or comments about a scheduled sale, please contact the Special Commissioner that is listed on the Notice of Judicial Sale. When a sale is scheduled, the Notice of Judicial Sale will be listed below with a link to information about the sale and all of the properties available for purchase.
